Mona Lisa’s Secret
My NEWEST Illusion in the show (Coming Soon)
In this illusion, a 500 year old secret is revealed: why is Mona Lisa smiling? Hidden behind her eyes is a mysterious code made of letters and numbers, according to a controversial claim by members of Italy's national committee for cultural heritage. Magnifying high-resolution images of the painting uncovers hidden information added by the master himself Leonardo Da Vinci.
This illusion takes the theater audience and viewers on a jaw-dropping, laugh out loud journey to a climax and the most shocking ending that ultimately answers the question: why is the most famous painting in the world smiling at you?
The Attire
Are you ready for your close up? This is the hollywood event everyone wants to go to. Dress to impress. You never know who you will be sitting next to. After all, it is Rodeo Drive.
Attire suggestions:
• Dress suit for men and/or Tux. Tie not required.
• Cocktail dress, skirt, slacks and/or elegant evening wear for ladies.
Einstein’s E=mc2
Einstein is the inspiration for my NEWEST illusion in the show. Albert was so intelligent that his name is synonomous with the word "genius."
One evening while watching a documentary about his life, this illusion popped into my mind. Time, space, distance and the speed of light. What could be more magical than the mysteries of the universe? Over a year in the making, it's taken me 3 months of solid rehearsal to perfect, but I know it will be the new "star" of the show. See you there.
Here's an amazing image of the equation in Einstein's own handwriting.
Einstein also loved Mozart. Scoring the illusion was a great learning experience, but ultimately beautiful. Mozart's Concerto No. 9 was Einstein's favorite and, therefore, the logical choice for scoring the piece.
Johnny Carson Documentary
Johnny Carson was the King of Late Night. He was also a big fan of magic. He debuted as "The Great Carsoni" at fourteen and was paid $3; many other performances at local picnics and country fairs followed.
This fantastic documentary was just released by PBS about his career and life. Enjoy.
Woody Allen Documentary
Woody Allen is one-of-a-kind. A prolific film-maker, comedian and brilliant writer. Eccentric, funny and thought-provoking, but never the less, always interesting.
Also, he is a big fan of magic and you can catch him with a deck of cards in his hands in a few of his films. Of course each piece is very funny as only Woody could be.
Watch this fantastic documentary about him.
Westlake Magazine Honor
Once a year, Westlake Magazine – A Premier Luxury Magazine honors individuals in the community for their Achiever's Issue. I'm thrilled to be included this year.
They did a great article too.
SOAP “Chuck & Bob Mindreading Act”
This is hilarious mindreading and one of the funniest moments on TV from the 70s.
Ben Jackson review
I flew all the way from TEXAS with my girlfriend to see Ivan's show and I have to say: it was worth the trip!
Without a doubt, Ivan is one of the best magicians of our day. He's extremely funny, creative, and his show never slows down.
The evening was 90 minutes jam packed with superb showmanship, mystery, and music. Factor in the intimate setting and posh décor of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and you have a night you won't forget… Highly recommended.

"You have to see Ivan Amodei's 'Intimate Illusions!' This show is amazing! First of all it is at the Beverly Wilshire, which is gorgeous and such a great spot to take a date. The show is truly original like nothing I've ever seen!
The space is intimate and romantic with dimly lit candles and a live cello player (who is amazing btw..) Ivan captivates his audience and impresses with original magic and illusions that are truly breathtaking. And the best part is that you are literally sitting just inches from the action.
I highly recommend this show. Take your date for dinner and drinks at the Wilshire and make a night out of it. You won't regret it! Loved it!"
